Grapevine-Colleyville ISD is offering a one-time incentive to employees in specific roles who provide advanced notice of their intent to retire or resign at the end of the year.

On Monday, the GCISD Board of Trustees approved the "Early Notice of Separation Incentive Plan." The new plan will provide 10 percent of an eligible employee's gross, base pay up to $8,000. Plus, there will be an additional $750 bonus paid to the employee if he or she has perfect attendance through the end of the employee's work calendar and has 10 or more local leave days remaining.

Eligible employees must be full-time GCISD educators who are on term or continuing contracts and employed as one of the following:

  • Teacher of record
  • Teacher with an assigned homeroom
  • Teacher in a special education program
  • Reading Specialist
  • ESL Specialist
  • Gifted and Talented Specialist
  • Instructional Technologist
  • Content Area Specialist
  • Reading Specialist
  • Program Interventionist
  • Counselor
  • Librarian

This incentive is available to the first 25 eligible employees who serve in middle or high schools and the first 15 employees at the elementary school level. Click here for more info.
