Vetro Glassblowing Studio and Gallery, located in historic downtown Grapevine, is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with its “help create” your own Imperial beer glass events March 13-14. Don’t miss this opportunity to “play with fire” and sip on various ales.
The participant chooses colors from seven pre-selected mixes, applies the colors to the hot molten glass gather, heats the colors in the 2,000 degree furnace and stays by the artist while they blow out the beer glass. This process, including check-in and color selection, should last about 30 minutes. Prepare for your glass to cool overnight and to pick it up the next business day (the studio is closed Sunday and Monday).
Adults must be 21 years of age or older to drink, but kids of all ages are welcome to observe! The cost is $85.00 plus tax, per beer glass. There will be handblown beer glasses available for purchase – each glass comes with two complimentary fills of locally brewed craft beer! This will take place during the time slots stated above. No reservations are required for purchasing the pre-made beer glasses, but quantities are limited.
