Appropriately known as the “golden anniversary,” jewelry designer Pieter Andries Hye celebrates his 50 years of being a Master Goldsmith this month. In honor of the occasion, Andries has produced a commemorative book detailing the foundation of knowledge and experience that he and his team have built over the past half-century. He will also introduce a special jewelry collection this fall featuring rare and extraordinary one-of-a kind jewels.

Working out of his state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and retail showroom in Southlake, Texas, Andries has come a long way since earning his designation as a Master Goldsmith from the prestigious Technicum Londonstraat in Antwerp, Belgium, on June 18, 1965. Under the tutelage of his professor and mentor, Sir Paul van Dessel, Andries learned that true luxury is in the details. His mastering of more than 40 disciplines, from design to metal-smithing, ignited a passion for crafting beautiful jewels that still burns brightly today.

“Creating and crafting jewels that allow our clients to share their legacy of happiness and success with future generations is our passion. Our commitment to perfection in every detail assures lasting value and a one-of-a-kind jewel that is both beautiful and attainable,” states Andries.

During the past 50 years, Andries has evolved from a wholesale manufacturer to one of the leading independent retail jewelers in America. A half-century of knowledge and experience ensures that from initial design to finished jewel, every step in the process is completed to perfection. As a member of the American Gem Society (AGS), Andries has earned the title of Certified Gemologist Appraiser, which is the highest level of achievement in the jewelry industry. Currently, approximately only 400 AGS jewelers in North America have earned this prestigious professional title. Utilizing his accredited in-house manufacturing capabilities ensures absolute control over quality and value for clients.

“As we look forward to the next 50 years of serving our loyal friends and fans, we take pride in what we have achieved on the path to becoming one of America’s top independent jewelers. From 1965 to today and beyond, my team and I continue the pursuit of perfection. As we search for the most beautiful gemstones or design our next piece of jewelry, our inspiration is always the client,” says Andries.
