On Saturday, May 17, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth will host a Junior Model Builder competition, a fun and interactive LEGO building event at the 30th annual Main Street Days. To compete, children ages 5-12 must pre-register online by visiting the events page at www.LEGOLANDDiscoveryCenter.com/dallasfw.
Applicants will be contacted May 12-14 to confirm their competition time slot. Competitions begin at 10:30 a.m. with heats concluding at 3:30 p.m. The competition is judged in two age categories, 5-to-8-year-olds and 9-to-12-year-olds.
A winner from each category will be given the title of “2014 LEGOLAND Discovery Center Junior Model Builder” with their build displayed at the attraction for two weeks. Winners will receive a LEGO trophy, family four-pack of annual passes to LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth and four one-day passes to LEGOLAND California.
Other activities include open builds, visits with Bertie the mascot, SEA LIFE Aquarium touch tank and fun giveaways.
