End of Year Considerations

The end of 2014 is fast approaching and it's time to think about fitting in all that you need to do before 2015 is here. We have some special information below that helps put everything into perspective.

Supplement Discounts - 10% Off

Order any supplements between now and the end of December for a 10% discount.  This would also be a good time to re-do your general health panel blood test and see how much progress you've made.  If you had your CDSA stool testing or SpectraCell nutrient testing more than 6 months ago, and want to see how far you've come, end of the year is a good time to do that too.

Flu Season

Flu season is here and we have supplement packages that help keep you strong so you won't have to deal with the misery of being sick. With the 10% discount we are offering until the end of the year, it makes even more sense to keep strong.

Insurance Considerations

For those of you who have flexible spending plans, if there is a credit in your FSA account, you must "use it or lose it" by the end of the year.  Also, for those who have met their deductibles, the end of the year is a perfect time to do any follow up testing that you may have been putting off.  If you wait until next year, you will have a new deductible to meet. Remember your FSA covers supplements because they are physician prescribed and purchased here.

In addition, some health policies are written so that if you meet some or all of your deductible in the last quarter (Now through December), that amount counts toward your deductible in both 2013 and 2014.  This is called a calendar year carry over.  Check with your agent or insurance liaison to see if you have this type of benefit.

Allergy Patients

For patients who are on Low Dose Antigen (LDA) allergy treatment or want to start or re-start therapy, December is a great time to be treated, because this is one of the months when pollen counts are the lowest.  This way you will have a much easier time with spring allergies.
