Grapevine Garden Club's scholarship and civic seed grant programs promote the study of horticulture, floral design, environmental awareness, protection and conservation of natural resources, and other related fields. Criteria and applications for the civic seed grant and scholarship may be found at www.grapevinegardenclub.org.

The scholarship program was created for graduating high school seniors residing in Grapevine, attending Grapevine-Colleyville ISD high schools, or to students who reside in Grapevine and are currently enrolled full time in college. The club is able to award multiple $2,000 scholarships per year if qualified students are found. The deadline for the 2014-2015 scholarship application is April 1, 2014.

The club awarded three scholarships for the 2013-14 school year to area students studying biotechnology, horticulture, and envrionmental science.

Civic Seed Grants are offered to non-profit organizations for materials or supplies for civic beautification projects and educational programs related to the studies listed above and within Grapevine or GCISD properties.

Both the scholarship and civic seed grant programs are supported by proceeds from the club's annual plant sale which will be held this year on April 26 at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park.
