First United Methodist Church Coppell will celebrate 135 years of serving in the Coppell community with a weekend of mission activities during "Mission Possible Weekend", September 20-21. Founded in September 1879, First United Methodist Church has been a presence in the what is now the Coppell community. Mission activities for the weekend will include cleaning up parks, donating items to local charities, making blanket kits and many other ways for people to get involved. Also, Carter Blood Care will be on-site for blood donation.

On September 21, the church will close the celebration weekend with one united worship service at 11:00 a.m. The worship service will show the diversity of FUMC Coppell through its music program.
