A Cannon Elementary student already has a big line to include on her (future) resume.

Fifth grader Ruby Moore is now a published author, according to a press release by the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District.

Moore wrote a short story, Come Home Dasher, and entered it to be included in the READ3Zero short story anthology, I Write. Students from across Texas submitted stories, but only 39 students were chosen.

Come Home Dasher is about a dog's adventures after he becomes separated from his owners.

Moore is invited to Houston in December where she will be honored with the other selected authors at the Houston Public Library.
