NRH, Texas- January 31, 2015 - Grapevine Heritage AMBUCS Kickoff “AMBUC VISIBILITY” month by presenting three FREE AmTrykes® (custom therapeutic bicycles) to nineteen month old, Kira from Hurst, TX.,  three year old, Able from Waxahachie and an Adult AmTryke® for Air Force Veteran, Joan, a Helicopter Mechanic injured while repairing “Choppers.”  Presentations will be held pre-game and on the ice during the 7 P.M. Lone Star Brahma Hockey game intermission.

Grapevine Heritage AMBUCS is a local chapter of National AMBUCS.  It is an all-volunteer service organization dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities.  AMBUCS fulfill their mission by performing local service projects so to provide AmTrykes® to individuals unable to operate a traditional bike, build wheelchair ramps to accommodate with home access and by awarding scholarships to therapists.

Each year AMBUCS helps hundreds of children, adults, and veterans experience the freedom of riding their very own AmTrykes®.  AmTrykes® help improve motor coordination and promotes self-esteem.  Riders grow stronger and build more confidence but most importantly enjoy the freedom to ride together with friends, siblings and family members!
