First Responders Find the Flavor in Pop-up Drive-thru to Honor their Kindness

Police officers, fire fighters, EMS and hospital workers were treated to lunch to celebrate their selfless service in Grapevine on October 15. Savage Burrito, a new virtual restaurant brand born in DFW this past week, celebrated its launch by gifting more than 160 frontline workers with delicious burritos, bowls and salads to thank them for all they do.

Fire trucks, police cars and everyday vehicles driven by these community heroes rolled through a special pop-up drive-thru set up to gift the bold flavor of Savage Burrito directly to those who deserve a thank-you. High-energy #SavageSquad team members were on-site to hand out the complimentary lunches and personally express their thanks. A DJ spun tunes and everyone was taking pictures while observing social distancing. Savage Burrito is a delivery-only restaurant whose food is hand-crafted from fresh ingredients in the kitchen at Uncle Julio’s, so the event was held outside of the Uncle Julio’s in Grapevine.

As the fire fighters blew their truck horns and police officers turned on their lights, there were smiles, waves and gratitude all around.

“It was such a real moment,” said #SavageSquad member Tiffany Jonas. “For us, being Savage is being brave enough to be bold while standing up for kindness, so thanking people like police officers and fire fighters who spend every day helping others is an honor.”

Savage Burritocan be ordered via DoorDash, UberEats, Grubhub and Postmates.

Fans can interact with Savage Burrito on InstagramFacebookTwitterTwitch, YouTube, TikTok (@savageburrito) and Snapchat (@savage-burritos). A custom Savage Spotify playlistis now available to drop to your device as well.
