Lone Star Santas are traveling to Granbury and Cleburne this weekend (June 14 & 15) to visit with children and families following the recent tornados that hit their cities. Our Convoy of Toys has been a regular part of bringing a toy, a smile and hope and joy back to a child's face following a disaster. Lone Star Santas has been visiting disaster sites since the tornados hit Joplin, Missouri in May 2011, and just last month we visited between 300 and 400 children in West, Texas, giving out over 2,000 toys to them.

Although it is common for this to happen, one mother came up to a Santa and said this was the first time she had seen her daughter smile since the explosion.

Locally, we have partnered with Red Robin Restaurant, on the corner of William D. Tate and Mustang Drive (1701 William D Tate Ave.), to do a fundraiser and toy drive. New toys can be brought to Red Robin and left in a box in the front greeting area. We are needing toys for all ages: stuffed animals, cars, dolls, games and even gift cards for older teens in the $5 and $10 range. Or, you can go online and donate financially at under our 'Convoy' ornament at the top of the page. If you bring a toy in or leave a donation at Red Robin, you will enjoy 10% off your lunch or dinner ticket. All donations for this trip must be in by the end of lunch on Friday, June 14.

Lone Star Santas is a fraternal organization of Santas from all over the state of Texas, and from as far away as New Mexico, Oklahoma and Louisiana. We are an all-volunteer 501 (c) 3 organization. Everything (100%) that comes in goes out to the children and communities we serve.

Our Granbury and Cleburne Convoy of Toys will have Santas from Amarillo, Tyler, Houston, Cypress, San Antonio, DFW and of course from right here in Grapevine and Southlake. At present, some 35 Santas and Mrs. Clauses will be visiting with around 300 children impacted by the recent tornados.
