Grapevine High School Fabulous Fillies Dance Team wins National Champion honors for their military and modern routines at MA Nationals.

The Fabulous Fillies Dance Team from Grapevine High School was named National Champion at the MA Dance Nationals Competition held in Fort Worth on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23, at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

The Fabulous Fillies were awarded National Champion honors for their military routine, “Archangel,” that was undefeated all contest season and for their modern routine, “All I Want.” Their Pom, “Pursuit of Happiness,” won second place honors and their hip hop, “Girls,” received third place.

The Fabulous Fillies were named to the National Winner’s Circle and awarded the National Outstanding Technique Award. Fillies officers earned second place for their modern and lyrical dances and a third place award for their jazz. They also received the National Outstanding Technique Award. Two Fabulous Fillies soloists, Mady Bauer and Jennifer Janicki, were selected as National Solo Finalists.

“It is an honor to be recognized as National Champions again this year,” KayLynn Renfro, Fabulous Fillies director, said. “Our success is a result of many hours of hard work in the dance gym and our teams’ overall dedication to delivering their best performance. We are pleased to bring home these honors to share with Grapevine High School.”
