The Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) welcomes "Freedom: A History of US" to the Grapevine CVB’s Grand Gallery, 636 S. Main St., now through Veterans Day (Nov. 11). The show is free to the public.

The exhibition features a variety of artifacts, documents and photos from Americans who have fought and in some cases, died, in the cause for freedom. The exhibition invites guests to read the words and see the images of men and women who, whether they arrived in this land by choice or in chains, forged this nation. Their words and images provide insights into the complexity of the past.

This traveling exhibition was developed by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and the Merserve-Kunhardt Collection, and based upon an exhibition of the same name at the New York Historical Society. The exhibition is sponsored by General Electric, with additional funding provided by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.

Veterans, groups and guests of all ages are encouraged to visit this thought-provoking exhibition. The show will be open to the public, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Grapevine’s art community continues to expand with new and special engagement art exhibitions, recently opened galleries, the Public Art Trail, fine art working studios and more. For more information about Grapevine or any of Grapevine’s events, please click here or call 817-410-3185.
