Restore 'Margin' This Week

First United Methodist Church of Grapevine is pleased to announce an evening with best-selling author Richard Swenson on Margin: Restoring Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Overloaded Lives.

Are you feeling a bit overwhelmed with all you have to do? "Margin" is the space that once existed between ourselves and our limits. It's something held in reserve for contingencies and unanticipated situations. "Overload is hurry. Margin is calm. Overload is anxiety. Margin is security. Overload is the disease of our time. Margin is the cure," writes Dr. Richard Swenson, M.D. in his best seller, Margin: Restoring Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Over loaded Lives. First Methodist Church in Grapevine will host a free seminar featuring Dr. Swenson on Thursday evening, August 21, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the main sanctuary (422 Church Street). Too stressed or busy to come? Then you need to be there!

Richard A. Swenson, M.D., received his B.S. in physics from Denison University and his M.D. from the University of Illinois School of Medicine. Following five years of private practice, in 1982 he accepted a teaching position within the University of Wisconsin Medical School system where he taught for fifteen years. He currently is a full-time futurist, physician-researcher, author, and educator. He has written nine books and presented, including national and international settings, to a wide variety of medical, professional, educational, governmental and management groups, most major church denominations and organizations, members of the United Nations, Congress, NASA and the Pentagon.

This is a free event, but we do expect a crowd ... so please register and get your free ticket(s) a twww.margingrapevine.eventbrite.com. An offering will be taken to benefit Weekend Food, a ministry that provides food on the weekends during the school year for Grapevine Colleyville ISD school children who receive free lunches.

First United Methodist Grapevine is located at 422 Church Street, one block west of Main Street in Grapevine.
