The Light Park Shines Bright in North Texas with Ribbon-Cutting Celebration in Little Elm

Mayor Welcomes More Than 60 Guests to Opening Night of the DFW Holiday Tradition

The Light Park officially kicked off its 2025 holiday season in Little Elm with a festive ribbon-cutting celebration, drawing more than 60 guests, community partners, and city officials on opening night. Mayor Curtis J. Cornelious delivered welcoming remarks, celebrating The Light Park’s Little Elm presence as a beloved, family-friendly holiday tradition in North Texas.

Held at The Light Park – Little Elm at 701 Eldorado Pkwy, the ceremony opened with networking and photos under the glow of the park’s dazzling displays. Guests—including representatives from the Little Elm Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, and area families—were among the first to enjoy the immersive, drive-through experience featuring millions of synchronized lights, holiday music, and interactive displays.

“We’re thrilled to welcome The Light Park to Little Elm,” said Mayor Cornelious. “This event brings joy to families across our city and the DFW region. It’s an honor to celebrate the opening of a season that brings our community together in such a magical way.”

The Light Park’s leadership team thanked the Mayor, city partners, and attending guests for their support and enthusiasm for the new holiday tradition.

“We couldn’t ask for a better community to help us launch another spectacular season,” said Matt Johnson of The Light Park. “Little Elm has welcomed us with open arms this year and we’re delighted to bring even more holiday magic to families in 2025.”

After the ribbon cutting, guests were invited to drive through the full Light Park experience and received a complimentary Blitzen Bundle as a thank-you for attending opening night

The Little Elm location is one of multiple The Light Park experiences across North and Central Texas, offering visitors an accessible, family-friendly holiday outing filled with lights, music, and festive surprises.
