The Grapevine City Council will hold a special city council meeting workshop on Tuesday, March 20th at 6:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at Grapevine City Hall.

Council members will discuss possible amendments to the Grapevine Code of Ordinances, Chapter 12 Health and Sanitation, oil and gas well drilling regulations relative to hydraulic fracturing ponds. 

Following the special workshop and the council's executive session at 7 p.m., the Grapevine City Council will begin its regular joint meeting with the Grapevine Planning and Zoning Commission at 7:30 p.m.

Some of the items on the joint agenda include:

  • A public hearing on a zoning request by Las Palomas Townhomes for property located at 3091 Dove Road. Las Palomas Townhomes is requesting a rezoning of 2.74 acres from professional office regulations to townhouse district regulations.
  • A public hearing on a request by First Financial Bank for a conditional use permit to amend the site plan approved for a monument sign.
  • A public hearing on a request filed by Jake's Hamburgers for a conditional use permit for the possession, storage, retail sale and on-premise consumption of alcoholic beverages.

The city council will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday as well.

Some of the items on the agenda include:

  • A presentation on Grapevine's Relay for Life fundraising event scheduled for April 27-28th at Cross Timbers Middle School.
  • The council will consider authorizing the City Manager to enter into agreements with ONCOR, Verizon, and Time Warner for the removal of a utility pole at the southeast corner of Hudgins and Main Streets.

Planning and Zoning will also hold a separate meeting on Tuesday, March 20th.

Here are some of the items on the agenda:

  • Consider the preliminary and finals plats of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1 Ogletree Addition and make a recommendation to the city council.
  • Consider proposed amendments to the Grapevine Code of Ordinance, Appendix D, Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance No. 82-73, as amended, Section 22 Multifamily District Regulations and off-street parking.
