The Grapevine Police Department is asking apartment complexes to warn their residents of an apparent burglary trend.

During the last 30 days, according to GPD, " there have been some apartment burglaries in which the peep hole was removed from the outside of the apartment door." Grapevine Police said that by removing the peep hole, thieves are possibly able to get a better look inside the property and determine if someone is at home.

Residents are advised to be alert to any suspicious activity. For emergencies, always call 9-1-1, but for non-emergenices, call 817-410-8127.
