Rev. Jenn PickFirst United Methodist Church in Grapevine is excited to announce the appointment of a new pastor to the church's ministry team, effective July 1. Rev. Jennifer Pick will serve the church as Associate Pastor over the areas of caring and compassion ministries, and will contribute her considerable talents to worship, outreach and teaching ministries as well.
 
Rev. Pick is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. She has most recently served as the Path1 Resident for New Church Starts at the First United Methodist Church in Mansfield, TX. She has spent much of her professional ministry in the New York Annual Conference revitalizing traditional churches to be about the transforming work of God in their communities and their world. Jennifer has a Master of Literature in Biblical Studies from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. She has studied biblical archaeology in Greece and Turkey through Cambridge University. Rev. Pick holds a Masters of Divinity from Drew Theological School. 

Jenn is passionate about creative worship, loving God and God's people, and following the direction of the Holy Spirit. Jenn is excited about the possibilities that God has in store for First United Methodist Church Grapevine. She says, "I look forward to walking with the people of FUMC Grapevine as we seek a Holy/Human connection through worship, mission, community, and care. The journey awaits!" Jenn and her husband Todd have one son, Drew, who is 11 months old.

Rev. John Mollet, Senior Pastor of FUMC Grapevine, comments, "Jenn's educational background, ecclesiastical talents and warm personality are a wonderful addition to our church's pastoral staff.  I look forward to working with her as we continue to serve this congregation and the Lord in our ministry to the Grapevine community."

FUMC Grapevine would like to extend an invitation to the community to join us for Jenn's first Sunday morning message on Sunday, July 12. In the current sermon series, entitled "REAL," our speakers are sharing how they have seen God at work in very real ways in their lives. Jenn will be speaking in worship services at 8:30, 9:00, 9:45 and 11:00 AM on July 12.
