WILLY WONKA, The Sweetest Show In Town

The sweetest show in town, WILLY WONKA, is coming to Northeast Tarrant County.  STARS Theater Company will present Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world famous candy man and his quest to find an heir, June 23-25 & June 30-July 2 at Scott Hall, located at 1245 Bedford Rd, Bedford 76021 on the campus of the First United Methodist Church in Bedford.

WILLY WONKA performance dates and times are:

Friday, June 23 at 7:30pm

Saturday, June 24 at 7:30pm

Sunday, June 25 at 3:00pm

Friday, June 30 at 7:30pm

Saturday, July 1 at 7:30pm

Sunday, July 2 at 3:00pm

The famous candy maker, Willy Wonka, has hidden five golden tickets in candy bars all over the world.  The winners will receive a life time supply of chocolate.  Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats: the fifth is a likeable young boy named Charlie Bucket.  The children must learn to follow factory rules... or suffer the consequences.

Join Charlie Bucket on his delicious adventure to Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory.   The musical production features the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder such as “Pure Imagination” and “The Candy Man”.

STARS’ production of WILLY WONKA stars several local young people.   Heading up the cast in the roles of Charlie Bucket and Willy Wonka are Joel Smith of Southlake and Taylor Johnson of Saginaw.  The bratty kids, Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, Veruca Salt, and Mike Teavee are played by Jonathan Nieman of Grapevine, Lauren Raymond of Grand Prairie, Jenn Howe and Pierson van den Dyssel both of Southlake.  The production is directed by Lu Anne Tyson of Hurst with vocal direction by Paula-Beth Toller of Arlington and Sue Hurst of Grapevine.  Music Conductor is Dax Stokes from Denton.
