The Grapevine Police Department will hold its 5th Annual Vehicle and Identity Theft Protection event this Saturday, May 12.

Residents can have a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) permanently etched into the major windows of their vehicle. This free process helps deter thieves and helps police quickly identify your vehicle if it is stolen. Along with the VIN etching, there will child safety seat inspections, shredding services, giveaways, a bake sale, and more.

The event will be held across the street from the police station, located at 307 West Dallas Road. Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday.
