It'll be a long weekend for GCISD students, even though it seems like school just resumed after winter break.

The extended weekend will kick off early for some students on Friday, with middle school students being released at 12:10 p.m. and high school students at 12:45 p.m.

Then, all of GCISD will close Monday, January 16th, in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The following day, Tuesday, January 17th, classes will not be held, but staff will still report for a teacher work day.

Classes will resume next Wednesday for all of GCISD.
