Early voting begins today, Monday, April 30, for the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Board of Trustees election.

According to a press release from GCISD, "Two candidates, Rick Hinckley, Place 1, and Michael McCoy, Place 2 have notified the district in writing that they are no longer actively seeking election to the GCISD Board of Trustees."

March 8, however, was the official withdrawal deadline for candidates to have their names removed from the ballot, so both McCoy and Hinckley will be listed on the election ballot. While votes cast for them will be tabulated as for any other candidate, neither is seeking a spot on the Board of Trustees.

Board members serve three-year terms and are unpaid. Early voting ends May 8, while Election Day is May 12.

Polling places are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays during the early voting period. Extended hours during early voting are Saturday, May 5, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday, May 7, and Tuesday, May 8, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Here are the early voting locations:

  • Colleyville City Hall
  • Grapevine Community Activities Center
