With the ever increasing population of elderly in America, families are being emotionally and economically stretched by the needs of elderly parents and the desire to help parents live as independently as possible.  To help provide support for these families, First Baptist Church in Grapevine offers a free support group, "Looking After My Parents".

LAMP offers education by experts in the field of geriatric care, legal issues, financial guidance and other areas to help families make informed decisions regarding the care of parents.  LAMP will also provide a nurturing support system of individuals who are facing similar situations to help ease the stress and anxiety of trying to balance the needs of the nuclear family and the needs of extended family.

LAMP meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm in Room A203 at First Baptist Church, 301 E. Texas Street in Grapevine.  On November 2nd our special guest will educate families on how to find the right senior living center for those parents who are ready to find new housing.  Whether it's Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or one of the many other options, this session will provide practical information on finding the best fit for your loved one.

No reservation is required.  For more information, contact First Baptist Church at 817-488-8573.
