The Adventures of Zippy and Fuzzy...FEBRUARY 24, 7:00 P.M.

Be sure to attend the GV Historical Society meeting at 7:00 P.M. in the Grapevine Library Meeting room on February 24.  You will thoroughly enjoy Mark Lucas Kelly as he shares stories of two buddies growing up in early 1900 Grapevine as told by his grandfather “Zippy” Lucas. 

"Zippy" aka Liston Bludworth Lucas was born in Grapevine on May 11, 1909 the ninth of nine children. He was a football and baseball star for the Grapevine Mustangs class of 1928....He delivered water to farmers, drove ambulances, and smoked many cigars with his best buddy "Fuzzy" Harry Wiggins.

Mark is an entertaining and lively story-teller and you will delight as he shares these great stories.

Born Fort Worth, April 25, 1961. Graduated L.D. Bell High School 1979, University of Texas-Austin 1984. After dropping out of Law School in 1987 he took care of his homebound grandparents Zippy & Lucille Lucas until hopping on a motorcycle in 1990 and heading for Tucson, AZ. During that time frame adventure, he taught public school, managed public radio stations, directed a small luxury resort, supervised a major University Student Newspaper, waited tables and was an actor in L.A.
