Ballet Ensemble of Texas, one of Dallas’ only pre-professional ballet companies, is ushering in the holiday season with its 21st annual production of The Nutcracker. The Nutcracker is a beloved holiday story set to the musical score by Peter Tchaikovsky. A young girl, Clara, receives a toy Nutcracker from her godfather and it magically comes to life taking her on a journey through The Kingdom of Sweets. Ballet Ensemble of Texas’ exquisite performance includes glistening snow, masterful choreography, and costuming designed with the finest detail.
The enchanting holiday ballet opens on Friday Dec.1 at 7:30 pm. Additional performances are Saturday, December 2 at 2:30 and 7:30 pm, and Sunday, December 3 at 2:30 pm at the Irving Arts Center, 3333 North MacArthur Blvd. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for students/seniors and can be purchased by calling the Irving Arts Center box office at 972-252-2787 (ARTS) or at www.irvingartscenter.com.
