Canyon Falls, a Newland Communities development in Flower Mound, will host their first annual Canyon Falls Fallapalooza on November 11, 2017. The day will kick off with the Canyon Falls Run for the Rescues 5K and Family Fun Run, followed by the grand opening of the Hay Barn and Pooch Park and activities ranging from ziplining to a s’mores station to a scavenger hunt.
The Hay Barn and Pooch Park are Canyon Falls’ two newest amenities. Inspired by the unique history and character of the land, The Hay Barn will include The Porch, an outdoor event space and shade pavillion connected to Pooch Park, two off-leash play areas for small and large dogs. Northlake Mayor Peter Dewing will host the ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m.
The Canyon Falls Run for the Rescues 5K and Family Fun Run will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Benefitting the DFW Labrador Retriever Rescue Club, the two races are open to all runners, walkers and strollers and registration closes on October 31. Interested parties can register here: www.GetMeRegistered.com/CanyonFallsRun.
The other festivities of Fallapalooza include ziplining, rock wall climbing, frisbee dogs, lawn games, archery, crafts, a scavenger hunt, DJ and more! Food trucks will be onsite with delicious food and there will also be a s’mores station and “Make Your Own Trail Mix” station. DFW Lab Rescue, Hillcrest Rescue and Trophy Club Animal Hospital will be in attendance with goodies and sweet pups to love!
This event is free and open to everyone. Canyon Falls Club is located at 6950 Canyon Falls Dr., Northlake, Texas 76226 and serves as the welcome center for guests to the thoughtfully designed community. The ten builder models and Canyon Falls Club will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for those who want to see what life is like at Canyon Falls.
