Grapevine Bird Sanctuary Week

Central Standard Time

Grapevine Bird Sanctuary Week, January 22nd – 28th The Grapevine Garden Club supports the city’s proclamation for Bird Sanctuary Week, whose purpose is to…… “encourage all Grapevine citizens to conserve bird life through care, feeding and protection from danger.”   Also, visitors to the Grapevine Botanical Gardens during the week of January 22nd - 28th can make a tissue roll bird feeder to take home or hang in the garden. This is a great activity for the youngsters in the family. To conclude Bird Sanctuary week, Grapevine Parks and the Southlake Ornithological Society (“SOS”) will celebrate with a bird walk on Saturday, January 28th at Wall-Farrar Park. SOS’s Dr. Ray Chancellor will lead this walk at 8:30 A.M. in this new Grapevine Park where nature trails are being developed. For the location of the park, please go to Note regarding parking: It is best to park at the Church of the Cross along the frontage of S.H. 121. Park toward the very back of the church parking lot. The hike will begin on the adjacent park trail. ?
