“I find shadow patterns fascinating. Ever changing, both in shape and color, these shadows were made by a great oak tree in my back yard and peering into the woods, one sees even more shapes and colors. I feel compelled to paint them when the light is perfect, in this case, early morning.”

“Wanderlust Midnight”

“I love arriving at the mountain ranges where the flat meets up against the mighty ranges. The mountains are a place of peace for me.  I get lost in the grandness and am reminded that life is more than rushing from point A to point B.  It is about enjoying these mighty mountain views that God gifted us.  These paintings are constant reminders for me to just breathe and take it in and cherish the memories forever. They are places I long to explore and dream about.  In ‘Wanderlust Midnight’, I love the navy blue background representing the nighttime in the mountains.  I love watching the sun go down, or rise, and seeing the mountain silhouettes.”
