“Grand Canyon”

“In the summer of 2017, we took a family vacation to celebrate the high school graduation of our daughter, Hannah.  She planned the trip.  On our way to California, our first stop was the Grand Canyon, truly one of the most majestic venues in all of the world.  The beauty, the vastness, and the history of the Grand Canyon are enough to take one’s breath away.  In this painting, I attempted to share the beauty and the magnitude that is the Grand Canyon.”

“Bird’s Eye View”

“This tiny Northern Pygmy Owl regularly perches at the tip top of the tallest available conifer tree for the perfect ‘Bird’s Eye View’.   They are incredibly hard to spot because of their size and color – weighing 2oz and 6” tall.  Intrigued by their uniqueness, I wanted to paint this “spot of color” high above the masses of green branches in the mountain forest.”
