PARENT SEMINAR:  December 2, 6:15-7:45 PM

Anxiety and Depression in Children and Teens: Led by Dr. Michelle Bengtson

Children and Teens are faced with many challenges. Often, at an early age, they begin to feel overwhelmed.  This feeling can lead to anxiety about tests, family issues, relationships and more.  It is important as parents to help our children deal with the anxiety and depression that may occur during the growing up years.  At First Methodist Church in Grapevine, we want to aid parents in helping their children and youth with anxiety and depression.  Therefore, we have invited author, speaker and board certified clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. Michelle Bengtson, to come speak to our parents.  Dr. Bengtson is a wife, mother and friend. She knows pain and despair firsthand and combines her professional expertise and personal experience with her faith so as to address issues surrounding medical and mental disorders such as anxiety and depression, both for those who suffer and for those who care for them. During her seminar she will offer sound practical tools, affirm worth, and encourage faith as a way to weather the storm of anxiety and depression. Dr. Michelle Bengtson wants to offer families hope as a key to unlock joy and relief—even in the middle of the storm. To find out more about Dr. Bengtson,  you can access her blog at: http://www.DrMichelleBengtson.com.
