2024 Salute To Veterans Dinner

Join us for the fourth annual community Salute To Veterans Dinner, which will take place on Monday, November 11, at 6:00 PM at the Grapevine Convention Center (1209 S Main St, Grapevine, TX 76051). Admission is free.

Organized by the First Grapevine Methodist Church team, this free dinner and program honors and celebrates the sacrifices of our brave veterans from all military branches, ensuring their commitment to our freedom is acknowledged and appreciated within our community and beyond. This year, we are honored to welcome Colonel (Retired) Charles "Chuck" Freeman as our keynote speaker.

Colonel Freeman’s extensive operational experience includes deployments in Haiti, Afghanistan, and Iraq, conducting six combat air assaults with the 101st Airborne Division. He has served as a senior advisor during the Yazidi genocide in Kurdistan and played a pivotal role in advising on U.S. Army armor requirements post-Russia's 2014 invasion of Ukraine. His leadership during Hurricane Florence and the COVID-19 response further highlights his exceptional service.

Join us for a memorable evening featuring a catered dinner, patriotic music, a Presentation of Colors by the Grapevine Police and Fire Department Honor Guard, an invocation by Mayor of Grapevine William D. Tate, Greetings from Senator Tan Parker from District 12, Texas Representative Giovanni Capriglione, and Tarrant County Commissioner Precinct 3, Gary Fickes.

A presentation of the will be shown during the dinner. If you would like to be featured in the presentation, please email your full name, a photo from your time in service, a current photo, and military branch to veterans@firstgrapevine.org.
