5th Annual DFW ICON Singing Contest is Set to Take Over Grapevine’s 34th Annual Main Street Fest May 18, 19 & 20
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS – The 5th annual DFW ICON has opened up registration for it’s 5th annual singing contest to be held during Grapevine’s 34th Annual Main Street Fest May 18, 19 & 20th. Producer, Jonathan George of JG Entertainment, expects to find promising talent in hopes of launching the next big star. DFW ICON will also benefit Kidd’s Kids, the organization founded by the late Kidd Kraddick.
DFW ICON was created by Dallas native Jonathan George, CEO of JG Entertainment. George currently lives in LA and is responsible for producing some of the biggest young names on Disney, Nickelodeon, MTV, Universal, Sony and more. He has developed this year’s American Idol’s Caroline Kraddick and Harper Gruzins (DFW Icon Winner 2015) as well as Dalton Rapattoni (American Idol 3rd Place) and Trevor Douglas (Top 12), all from Dallas. George states, “It is exciting to come home to Dallas to find talent who needs to be seen and known. We are always looking for new and up coming stars. Stars are not born, they are created.”
Preliminary rounds will be held at the Palace Theatre May 18 and 19. Finals will be held on the Main Stage on May 20. Talent will be placed in four categories grouped by ages 7-11, 12-14, 15-18 and 19-30. There are cash prizes in each category as well as a Grand Prize Winner.
